The 3DS handheld continues to stay in the lead when it comes to hardware sales in Japan, with the Nintendo platform managing to move 28,703 units to customers during the last seven-day period, a small increase when compared to the previously tracked period.

The PlayStation 4 is still doing well in second place for the week that ended on July 12, despite the fact that it has lost some sales to reach 15,779 in overall sales, according to data from Media Create quoted by NeoGAF.

The Vita is mostly flat at 14,245 in third place, and the Wii U has once again dropped sales in order to move 10,780 to gamers, a relatively small number for a Nintendo home console.

The PlayStation 3 remains relatively popular at 2,979, and the Xbox One reaches a new low at 149.

Yo-Kai Watch Busters: Red Cat Team / White Dog Squad from Level 5 for the 3DS is the new entry at the top of the software chart, with 693,538 copies delivered to players.

Great Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney - Naruhodou Ryuunosuke no Bouken from Capcom is in second, and another new entry, Taiko no Tatsujin: V Version for the Vita, is on the final position on the podium.

The rest of the top ten includes Fire Emblem Fates: Black Kingdom / White Kingdom, Splatoon, Rhythm Heaven: The Best+, Super Run For Money Tousouchuu Atsumare! Saikyou no Tousou Monotachi, Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, Mario Kart 8, and Dragon Ball Z: Extreme Butoden.
