The 3DS continues to be the most dependable piece of hardware created by Nintendo, taking the number one position in the Japanese chart once again, managing to deliver 39,008 units to gamers in one week.

For the period that ended on August 9, Media Create, quoted by NeoGAF, says that the PlayStation 4 sits in second place, showing a decline in sales from 18,740 to 14,619, which is replicated by most of the other devices on the list.

The PlayStation Vita saw a small decline during the same period and managed to sell 13,337 devices.

Its position is threatened by the Wii U home console from Nintendo, which managed to boost its own numbers to just over 13,000.

The platform might be a disappointment for the company, but it seems that it still has a good market in Japan.

The older PS3 is at 2,567 units in sales, while the Xbox One reached 200.

The best-selling video game is the same as last week Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer from Nintendo, which managed to move 181,377 copies to gamers.

Second place is occupied by Yo-Kai Watch Busters: Red Cat Team / White Dog Squad.

The rest of the top ten includes: Splatoon, Rhythm Heaven: The Best+, Luminous Arc: Infinity, Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, Fire Emblem Fates: Birthright / Conquest, Mario Kart 8, Animal Crossing: New Leaf and IA/VT: Colorful.
