Homefront: The Revolution is one of the shooters that aim to redefine the genre, and the publishing team at Deep Silver and Microsoft are using Gamescom 2015 to deliver a new trailer for the game, called Thank You.

The footage is designed to show off the impressive new graphics of the game and some action, as it mixes an emotionally-driven moment and a pretty solid combat sequence.

The narrative of Homefront: The Revolution will follow resistance groups as they try to stand up to the North Korean leadership and sow the seeds of an uprising against the foreign occupation.

The Crytek engine is used and the title will aim to offer a new take on classic shooter mechanics, allowing gamers to combine classic combat situations with moments when they use stealth and distractions to make sure that enemies are unable to react to their assaults.

The development team says that it is planning to offer a first look at the multiplayer side of the game to those who have an Xbox One at some point during the winter of this year, presumably with access restricted to those who pre-order.

Homefront: The Revolution will be out on the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One and the PC during 2016.
