Blizzard confirms that it's going to debut the brand-new Infernal Shrines map for Heroes of the Storm later today, August 26. At the same time, a reduced map pool is also going to be activated for one week, so that players have a bigger chance at reaching the new level.

Heroes of the Storm has been around for quite a few months, appearing as a final experience in early June. Since then, Blizzard has released plenty of all-new characters, maps, and revised a wide array of existing mechanics.

After debuting the latest hero, in the form of Kharazim the Diablo 3 monk, Blizzard is going to launch the latest map for Heroes of the Storm, in the form of Infernal Shrines.

The battleground should go live in the game later today, August 26, according to the official forums.

At the same time, a smaller rotation of potential maps is going to go live until September 2. It includes Infernal Shrines, as well as Battlefield of Eternity, Cursed Hollow, Dragon Shire, Sky Temple, and Tomb of the Spider Queen.

Blizzard wants players to have bigger chances of reaching the Infernal Shrines, so the other three maps (Blackheart's Bay, Haunted Mines, and Garden of Terror) will make a comeback starting next week, once everyone is accustomed to the fresh battleground.

It’s unclear at what time the new map and rotation will be available in Heroes of the Storm, unfortunately.
