Video game developer The Coalition and publisher Microsoft are delivering a new video for the upcoming Gears of War: Ultimate Edition, which is designed to show how the two companies have improved the look of the world that gamers are exploring while preserving its unique character.

The two companies state, "The Coalition understood the emotional tone of each level, and put special care to keep the inherent beauty and purposeful gameplay layout intact while enhancing it with intimate detail."

Gamers who pick up the Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will get access to maps that were previously offered only on the PC and to upgrades to both the graphics and the gameplay of the title.

The Coalition says that they will also make it easy for newcomers to understand the unique elements the series has to offer.

Gears of War: Ultimate Edition will be out only on the Xbox One and arrives on August 25, 2015.

Gamers will be able to play all the titles in the franchise if they pick up the package using the new backwards compatibility feature of the home console.

A new Gears of War 4 is also in development at The Coalition and will be offered in 2016, with an emphasis on delivering the classic mechanics of the series on a new piece of hardware.
