Playing Pro Cycling Manager 2015 with Trek

Pro Cycling Manager 2015 is now out, which means that for at least the coming 40 days I will be focused on the cycling sim created by Cyanide and Focus Home Interactive in order to try and win as many races as possible with my favorite team, Trek Factory Racing.

The game has tweaked the way energy works, and that means even the best riders tend to get tired much more easily, and solid teamwork is much more important than it was before.

In many ways, PCM 2015 is following the evolution of the real-world sport where Astana, Sky and Saxo tend to create trains even when going up mountains, with the leaders only asked to put in a decisive attack when their companions have already shed most of the opposition.

Trek is not having the best season so far, but in the video game, I have managed to deliver some solid wins in the spring classics for them, using Cancellara, and I am now trying to get at least a mountain stage win in Il Giro, although the competition is very solid.

With Pro Cycling Manager, the key is to enjoy the initial release of the game, wait for some patches from Cyanide, and then let the community create its own extensive mods, which tweak both core mechanics and the stats of the riders.
