It seems that one of the defining features of the coming range of titles designed specifically for current-gen consoles will be their size, with the long-awaited Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 set to occupy no less than 45 GB on the Xbox One.

The information comes from the official listing for the game and might be bad news for those who are seeking to get the title via digital download, especially during the first few days after launch when the servers will be very busy.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 3 is set to arrive on the PC, the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4 on November 6.

The size of the files for the Sony home console has not yet been revealed.

Gamers who get it on older consoles will not have access to the single-player campaign.

Developed by Treyarch, the title is set to introduce a wide range of content, allowing players to experience a classic single-player that takes place in 2065 and focuses on soldiers that have been enhanced both genetically and technologically.

The multiplayer gets a range of innovations, including the Specialists and a new movement system that will increase the dynamic nature of combat.

A Shadows of Evil undead-powered campaign is also offered, allowing gamers to play as a cast of four characters that try to hold back a constant stream of zombies.
