It seems that 2K Games is getting ready to announce that it is working on a new package called the BioShock Collection, which is set to be launched on the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One at some point in the near future.

AGB has managed to spot a reference to the title on the site of a retailer that has a history of revealing video games before the publisher or the developer working on them make an official announcement.

BioShock Collection will probably contain all the three titles in the series and the downloadable content that was launched for them with visual and even gameplay upgrades designed to make them work well on the new home consoles from Sony and Microsoft.

Such a package offers companies a great way to make sure that their major franchises reach a new audience and that they remain relevant as new titles are being developed, which are natively using the extra power of the PlayStation 4 and the Xbox One.

The development team that created the first BioShock and the final Infinite installment has disbanded, and it's unclear whether a new title linked to the franchise is being created by another studio inside 2K Games.

At the moment, Ken Levine is working with a smaller team on more narrative-driven experiences that will use an entirely new universe.
