Battlefield 4 developer DICE confirms that it's going to start launching the Night Operations content and the Summer Patch update for the popular first-person shooter tomorrow, September 1, worldwide. A brief offline period for the multiplayer mode is expected.

Battlefield 4 launched way back in 2013, and since then, developer DICE has kept on releasing free updates, premium DLC packs, as well as plenty of fresh content created in partnership with the actual community.

The latest update is the Summer Patch, which brings forth a wide array of enhancements to the game, its modes, and its mechanics.

Alongside the patch, the Night Operations free DLC is also going to launch, bringing forth a new nighttime map, in the form of Zavod: Graveyard Shift, which is a reworked version of the Zavod 311 map that's found in the regular game.

Both releases are going to debut in the game starting tomorrow, September 1. According to the official forums, the Summer Patch is going to roll out starting at around 9am UTC (2am PDT), and a brief offline period for the Battlefield 4 multiplayer is expected to last around two hours.

The Night Operations content will launch at the same time on PC, Xbox One, Xbox 360 worldwide. PS4 and PS3 users around the world except Europe will also get it at that time. Europeans, however, have to wait until September 8.
