Xbox One owners who are participating in Microsoft's Xbox Live Preview program are now able to download a beta version of the May system software update for the console, which contains just a few brief bug fixes right now.

The Xbox One has been around for some time now, and Microsoft has released monthly firmware updates for its console in order to improve existing features and add all-new abilities, such as the recent option to take screenshots.

After the pretty hefty April firmware update, Microsoft has rolled out the first beta version of the May system software for those who participate in the Xbox Live Preview program.

According to Microsoft, via DualShockers, this first version includes just a few fixes that resolve audio popping problems when using the digital TV tuner in the United States or in Canada. A few extra changes to the upcoming Voice Messaging feature are also made, and they help Microsoft detect any issues.

Expect more updates for this May Xbox One firmware later this month, ahead of its actual launch for all owners of the console.

Until then, Microsoft might add a few extra features on top of the long-awaited voice messaging one that was initially promised for April but was relegated to May in order to ensure maximum performance.
