Video game developer Blizzard is announcing that it is getting ready to launch a new 2015 edition of the World of Warcraft Arena World Championship, with finals for the competition set to take place in Anaheim, California, at the BlizzCon 2015 event.

The three versus three experience asks gamers to master their chosen character while also being adept at cooperation, and those who perform well will be able to get a slice of the $250,000 (220,000 Euro) prize pool.

Blizzard adds, "Online qualifiers will be held for North America (which will include Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand), Europe, China, and Korea/Taiwan in the near future. We’ll have all the details on qualifier eligibility, rules, and schedules here for you soon."

The studio also says that all the matches will be streamed in order to give the community a chance to learn from the best players of World of Warcraft Arena.

The BlizzCon 2015 event will also include other competitions and panels which Blizzard will use to talk about the current state and the future of its biggest franchises.

The company is not yet ready to reveal whether it is working on a new expansion for World of Warcraft and what it would introduce to the MMO.
