The game is based on physics and on feelings

One of the highlights of the E3 2015 Electronic Arts press conference is the reveal of an entirely new intellectual property called Unravel, which is designed to allow players to explore some lovely Scandinavian landscapes with a new character called Yarney.

The protagonist of the title is basically a giant ball of yarn that needs to move across the landscape while leaving a little bit of himself behind.

The platformer is designed to focus both on new ways to move across obstacles and on the emotions that unraveling can cause.

The development team states, "In this physics-based puzzle game platformer, you have to traverse nature's obstacles inspired by the breath-taking environments of Northern Scandinavia."

The game creator says that he initially thought of the idea while he was on vacation with his family and was exploring the way feelings tie us to the world and the important people around us.

Electronic Arts has not yet announced a launch date for Unravel, and there's no information on the platforms on which it will be offered.

The idea of the game is very simple and very appealing at the same time, and it will be interesting to see how the title will work once it is launched.
