Cosplayers are starting to get more and more dedicated to their craft, to the point where it's becoming an actual craft, which takes an enormous amount of talent and a very specific skill set in order to pull off.

Granted, we've all seen impressive displays of geeks becoming their favorite video games characters, but for most people it's just about having fun, or being made fun of by others and having a quick laugh.

Others take it entirely to the next level, just like Freya Willia did with her take on the female Commander Shepard, the protagonist of BioWare's Mass Effect series.

The artist spent over two years working on the ultimate suit of armor and some of the best fake sci-fi weapons ever made, making hers the most authentic Commander Shephard costume ever.

She even created the Omni tool, which alone would be worth a spotlight, and the best thing about the whole deal is the fact that she documented the entire process.

You can also check out her Facebook page, to get more behind-the-scenes photos and samples of her other cosplay work.
