The video is very silly and shows how out of place Tolkien's orcs would look in a modern-day setting

Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor was one of last year's neat surprises, managing to offer a much more memorable experience than one would have thought.

A Lord of the Rings tie-in usually means that no effort is spent on crafting a compelling experience, as pretty much all the games have been somewhat pedestrian, banking on the franchise's established popularity.

Fortunately, Monolith Productions did a bang-up job, and now the world is full of orcs looking for revenge on a certain ranger.

In fact, the world is so full of Sauron's minions, that some of them have even made their way to our realm. The new clip from the guys at Mega64 shows a pair of Middle-earth's Uruks searching for Thalion in present day.

The duo are asking people on the city streets if they have seen the troublesome ranger, causing some commotion, until the ranger finally shows up to clean the mess.

Granted, it's not the most glorious of productions, but it's pretty entertaining, and the makeup is pretty good, so it's worth a watch, at least to get inspired for some similarly dorky shenanigans.

The video game came out at the end of last year, and if you're curious why it sparked such a following, you can check out our review of Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor.
