The development team at Tango Gameworks and publisher Bethesda are delivering a trailer for the final piece of downloadable content for The Evil Within, which is supposed to be launched on all platforms on May 26.

Gamers who get access to The Executioner will be able to make the switch to first-person perspective in order to play as The Keeper, one of the main enemies from the title.

The switch looks interesting and will deliver a new set of challenges for gamers to progress through, all of them structured as battle arenas in which players will have to use their considerable power to deal with enemies.

There are two other pieces of DLC that are currently offered for The Evil Within, allowing buyers to play as a new character.

Neither the developer nor the publisher has said whether there are clear plans to create another title in the franchise.

Tango Gameworks is the new company of Shinji Mikami, who is best known for his work on Resident Evil.

He said before the launch of The Evil Within that he wanted to create a game that took the horror game genre back to its roots, something that the new experience managed to do only partially.
