Zenimax Online Studios confirms that it will still honor the cheap upgrade option that was offered for a limited time to PC and Mac owners of The Elder Scrolls Online who wanted to transfer to the PS4 or Xbox One editions of the game when they are launched in June.

The Elder Scrolls Online received a major shakeup yesterday, when, after a bit of speculation, Bethesda and Zenimax Online Studios revealed that they were going to drop the mandatory subscription and allow all owners of the game unlimited access to it on the PC and Mac starting March. The two companies also mentioned a new release date for the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, which arrive on June 9.

Now, after making the new announcements, Zenimax tells Videogamer that the previously offered transfer system to PC and Mac owners will still be available for those who want to transition to the PS4 or Xbox One versions of The Elder Scrolls Online: Tamriel Unlimited.

In case you don't remember, for a short period of time Zenimax allowed PC or Mac users of the game to sign up for a program that enabled them to transfer their characters and progression to the console editions when they eventually appeared, for a smaller price.

They'll be notified by email when the transfer can be achieved, so look forward to more details soon enough.
