After having confirmed that Star Wars Battlefront would get a gameplay demonstration next month, Electronic Arts and DICE reveal that the new title will launch in holiday 2015 for the PC, PS4, and Xbox One.

Electronic Arts and DICE have been working on Star Wars Battlefront for quite some time, after first having revealed the title back in 2013, shortly after EA mentioned that it had struck a deal with Disney to make several Star Wars games.

Just a brief while ago, EA and DICE have announced that Star Wars Battlefront will get a gameplay presentation at the Star Wars Celebration convention that takes place next month.

Now, via the newly formed official Twitter account, the two companies confirm that Star Wars Battlefront is going to launch in the holiday 2015 period, which means October or November of this year.

Besides the loose release period, the companies mention that the game is going to launch for PC, PS4, and Xbox One platforms, meaning that PS3 or Xbox 360 owners won't get their hands on it.

This makes Battlefront the first big EA-published game that doesn't have last-gen versions, as even the recently released Battlefield Hardline still launched on PS3 and Xbox 360 besides PC, PS4, or Xbox One.

Expect more details next month.
