The game's first-person module is apparently pretty big

Star Citizen has just gotten a shiny new trailer, showing off pretty much all of its features over the span of five minutes.

The video shows a beautiful science fiction universe and the variety of things that can be done within it, consisting of a montage of action sequences that cover battling in space, boarding enemy ships, walking on enemy planets, and all kinds of other fun stuff.

The trailer is pretty atmospheric, having a very fitting orchestral and electronic score, and asking a ton of meaningful existential questions, interspersed with the things players are able to do in-game.

Star Citizen is set in a persistent universe where the actions of all players will exert a big influence on the unfolding events of the narrative. The game also features a single-player campaign, designed primarily to guide players through combat and how to pilot ships.

The latest footage reveals a ton of stuff that wasn't part of the initial pitch, but adds a ton of depth to the whole experience, namely the first-person walking around the planet surface stuff.

The game is the biggest crowdfunded project to date, and by the looks of it, it's not going to stop anytime soon.

Star Citizen is currently scheduled to come out sometime during 2016.
