14 DAY TRIAL // During the E3 2015 Microsoft presentation, the development team at Rare has revealed that it is working on an entirely new intellectual property called Sea of Thieves, which will take gamers to a new fantasy world and will allow them to shape it in interesting ways.
The studio says that it wants to offer a new take on some classic mechanics, with a focus on exploration and on the achievements that groups of players can create as long as they work together as a team.
Sea of Thieves received a reveal trailer, but the footage does not make it clear exactly how gamers will be able to interact with the world.
Rare has long been working on avatars and other content for the Xbox One, so fans of the studio will be happy to see them return to active development.
Microsoft is also working on a new Rare collection of video games, which will take the classic experiences on which the company has worked and will re-make them for a modern audience.
Sea of Thieves does not have an official launch window, and it's unclear whether the company also plans to offer it on the Windows 10 operating system in addition to the Xbox One.
