Koei Tecmo has announced that Samurai Warriors 4-II is coming to the west this fall, in a localized version meant to offer English-speaking audiences a chance to try out some mean samurai action.

The spin-off sequel was initially released in Japan in February this year, marking the franchise's 10th anniversary, and introducing a brand-new story mode focusing on character-driven missions.

The game also features plenty of improvements from Samurai Warriors 4, including camera and artificial intelligence tweaks, but also neat gameplay additions such as online and local cooperative multiplayer support for all modes.

The Endless Castle challenge mode will let players struggle to survive for as long as possible, or play against the clock and see how far they can get through the castle's increasingly difficult levels.

Although Samurai Warriors 4-II will not be compatible with the saves from Samurai Warriors 4, it will detect them and offer players 10k gold and all twenty skill books as compensation.

The game will be available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, PlayStation Vita and PC platforms, starting on September 29 in North America and October 2 in Europe.

In addition to this, Koei Tecmo also revealed that Nobunaga's Ambition: Sphere of Influence (PS3, PS4, PC), Ar Nosurge Plus (PS Vita) and Samurai Warriors Chronicles (PS Vita, Nintendo 3DS) will be coming to the west this summer.
