Video game developer Psyonix is delivering a new video which is designed to show off the splitscreen multiplayer options associated with its upcoming title Rocket League, with a focus on both the cooperative and the competitive elements of the experience.

The title is set to be offered on the PlayStation 4 home console from Sony during the spring of this year and is designed as a spiritual successor to Supersonic Acrobatic Rocket-Powered Battle-Cars.

The game portrays a futuristic take on a sports title in which gamers will be in control of powerful rocket vehicles that will need to ram both the ball and other players in order to try and score.

The development team is aiming to make Rocket League physics-driven and addictive, with those playing having to carefully juggle angles and speed in order to make sure that they score a goal.

The developers are saying that the superior computing power of the PlayStation 4 is designed to deliver more content, plenty of new features and other gameplay updates.

Psyonix is planning to talk about other elements of the Rocket League in the coming weeks and soon they are also set to deliver an official launch date for their new title.
