Ubisoft has released a brand new teaser trailer for its upcoming tactical first-person shooter Rainbow Six: Siege, showing off the British counter-terrorism unit in action.

The first in a new series, the video details some of the different aspects of special forces units training and activity, from shooting people in the face to rappelling down buildings, smashing through walls, and placing explosive charges in order to create new breach points.

The Rainbow Six team is an elite assembly of special forces members from all around the world, and players will be able to play the role of one such brave man in the line of duty.

The upcoming first-person shooter offers a deep tactical experience, where players have to rely on team coordination, proper planning and flawless execution, rather than twitch reflexes, in order to emerge victorious.

Rainbow Six: Siege marks a return of the series to its roots, but also its emergence as a modern title, featuring one of the most advanced destruction engines ever seen in a video game, and some truly splendid visuals.

Ubisoft is clearly pushing the eSport aspect of the team-based video game, and we'll see how well it fares once it's out later this year. Rainbow Six: Siege is expected to launch for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Windows PC platforms.
