The team in charge of the PlayStation Network is announcing that the network maintenance planned for later in the night is designed to introduce some more payment options for all those who are using the PlayStation Network.

The official Ask Playstation Twitter account also says that the integration for PayPal will be improved once the downtime is done.

The PlayStation Network is supposed to be down for a two-hour period and gamers will be unable to access the store and other elements of the service.

It's nice to see Sony actually talking about the kind of changes that it is planning to make during a maintenance period, something that the company has been unwilling to do for a long period of time.

The PlayStation Network is very important for the company because the service has been one of the reasons for the solid sales performance of the PlayStation 4.

Sony has said that it wants to continue to add both more content and more features to it in the coming months.

The company has also managed to create a successful first season of the Powers TV-style series for the PSN, and a second one is headed to the service at some point in 2016.
