They need to donate to charity to get the chance

The team at Sony launched a new charity-focused PlayStation Heroes program earlier in the year, allowing gamers who own a PlayStation 4 or a PS3 to get some content in order to donate to charity and get a chance to face famous people in a variety of games.

Now, all those interested can purchase a whole new set of themes on the PlayStation 4 and the PS3 in order to back the Make-A-Wish Foundation and get a chance to play FIFA 15 with Snoop Dogg in his Los Angeles home.

A special video featuring the rapper is offered to entice gamers, and he says that he is a boss when it comes to the EA Sports-made football simulation.

PlayStation Heroes is an interesting idea because it aims to set the sights of the mass of gamers who use PlayStation hardware on charity and good causes.

At the moment, the PS4 is leading the current-gen sales race, ahead of the Xbox One from Microsoft.

Such initiatives manage to increase the profile of the platform even among those who are not interested in using one of the devices very soon.

Sony has recently said that it has no plans to drop the price of the PS4, but it will continue to increase the value delivered by the console.
