Sony has long promised that it wants to make the PlayStation 4 an entertainment hub, and the company will move one step closer to that goal when the Powers live action series is launched for all users on the PlayStation Network on February 10.

The information comes from an image from CES, which was captured by NeoGAF and clearly mentions the date, although no official announcement has been made about it until now.

Powers is based on the graphic novel with which it shares a name and Sony has said that it wants to create an experience that can rival all superhero-themed series shown on traditional TV.

The story will focus on two detectives, named Christian Walker and Deena Pilgrim, who only work on cases which feature people who have superhuman abilities.

Sony states, "Set amidst today’s paparazzi culture, Powers asks the questions, what if the world was full of superheroes who aren’t actually heroic at all? What if all that power was just one more excuse for mischief, mayhem, murder, and endorsement deals?"

So far, the company has not said how many episodes the initial run of Powers will be made up of and whether it has plans to expand its live action offerings if the series is successful.
