Independent developer Skyshine Games announces a partnership with publisher Versus Evil, which will result in Bedlam being published on PC this summer.

The game was funded through a crowdfunding campaign on Kickstarter in October, 2014, and now it seems like we'll be getting our hands on it a little earlier than initially expected.

Bedlam is a post-apocalyptic roguelike with role-playing game elements, build on Stoic's Banner Saga engine, which means that it's going to feature some nice artwork.

The game has players taking on the role of captains of massive vehicles navigating through the massive wasteland, assembling a crew of humans, mutants, robots and cyborgs, and doing their best to survive the many perils of the apocalypse.

The action revolves around the sprawling metropolis of Byzantine, one of the last bastions of civilization, as you are one of the last remaining Mechanics, brave people who transport passengers to the distant Aztec City, a supposed utopia that lies beyond the dead desert.

Bedlam seems inspired by The Banner Saga, FTL, and the modern rendition of XCOM, tasking you with managing your crew and vehicle, interacting with various characters and exploring the desert, with random encounters waiting around every turn, to either help you in your journey or stop you dead in your tracks.
