Bandai Namco Games has released the first teaser trailer for upcoming PlayStation Vita exclusive Japanese role-playing game Ray Gigant.

In addition to the mysterious trailer, offering us a brief glimpse of the characters and story in the game, the publisher has also released a batch of screenshots for us to ogle while waiting for the game to come out.

The game comes from Experience, the makers of Demon Gaze, and is scheduled to drop sometime this summer on Sony's handheld gaming device, as DualShockers informs.

The action takes place in the future, after the world has been devastated by cataclysmic events triggered by the appearance of a race of giant monsters, appropriately called "Gigant."

The screenshots in the gallery below come from Japanese video gaming magazine Degeki PlayStation, and they show some dungeon crawling mechanics, as well as the overall feel of the visuals and the characters.

In addition to this, the images also show that Ray Gigant is a first-person role-playing game, which is quite unusual but should be interesting nonetheless.

For the time being, Bandai Namco Games has not mentioned anything about a localization of the title, but taking into account how active the developer has been on western markets, it's likely that Ray Gigant will also enjoy some quality time on overseas PlayStation Vita devices.
