2014 may be over but this doesn't mean that Sony's stopping the 20-year anniversary of its PlayStation brand, as the company confirms that it's running a special celebratory sale on the North American PlayStation Store, discounting many great games for the PS4, PS3, PS Vita, or even the PSP.

The PlayStation 1 saw its launch back in December of 1994 in its native Japan, and Sony started celebrating the 20-year anniversary of the brand last month, even bringing forth limited-edition PS4 devices that were customized to look like the original PlayStation.

Now, the company is continuing these celebrations on its PlayStation Store in North America by organizing a special sale on 60+ games from across the brand's history, according to the PS blog.

As such, from today until Monday, January 19, there are discounts for a series of stellar titles like Killzone: Shadow Fall, Call of Duty: Ghosts, or NFS: Rivals on PS4.

On the PS3, the list of discounted games is much more impressive, starting with Assassin's Creed 1, and continuing with Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, Dragon Age: Origins, Far Cry 3, Grand Theft Auto 3, Infamous 1, LittleBigPlanet, Mass Effect 2, or Resident Evil 4.

PS Vita owners can also get in on the discount action, as Chrono Trigger, Disgaea 4, Dragon's Crown, LittleBigPlanet, Mortal Kombat, and much more have discounts on the platform. Last but not least, those who still have a PSP can take advantage of deals on most of the same titles seen on the PS Vita.
