14 DAY TRIAL // Fans of the Ratchet & Clank series rejoice as Insomniac Games confirms that it's going to remaster the original Ratchet & Clank game for the PS4 platform, complete with new gameplay, better visuals, and ties into the upcoming movie based on the series.
The Ratchet & Clank franchise has been around for many, many years, as developer Insomniac Games has kept on releasing quality titles for Sony's various PlayStation platforms, from the original PS2, to the PS3, PSP, and more.
As further testament to the series, Sony's movies division is creating a Ratchet & Clank digital film, in collaboration with Insomniac.
To further maximize exposure for the series, the studio now confirms that it's also working on a remastered version of the original Ratchet & Clank game for the PS4 platform, marking the debut of the franchise onto the new home console.
According to the official website, the new game shares the film's vision on Ratchet's origin story and brings updated gameplay and completely new visuals built from the ground up for the PS4.
Unfortunately, no other details, except the fact that Insomniac's two different teams are both collaborating to ensure a quality game is going to delight veterans and newcomers to the series.
Expect to hear more in the following months. The Ratchet & Clank movie has a loose release date of 2015.
