Elite gear might also drop based on your prestige level

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare developer Sledgehammer Games confirms that it's going to tune about 15 or more weapons from the game with the next big update, and that Elite unlocks might soon be awarded depending on your Prestige level, not just through random loot crate drops.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare launched back in November of last year and delivered a very intense first-person shooter experience that had not only a solid multiplayer but also a strong story campaign that took place in the future but didn't go overboard with its high-tech gadgets.

The game has since received its first big add-on, in the form of the Havoc DLC, and now Sledgehammer is working on more updates for the shooter.

The next big patch, according to Sledgehammer co-founder Michael Condrey, is going to re-tune 15 or more weapons and buff or nerf them, depending on each case.

He goes out to confirm that the SN6 sub-machine gun is going to receive an improvement but declines to say just to what aspects.

What's more, he also mentions that Elite gear might soon be available for certain Prestige levels, meaning that players won't just have to rely on their luck and the random number generator when opening a loot crate and finding great gear.

As of yet, the patch is confirmed to arrive "shortly."
