Developer Maxis and publisher Electronic Arts have released a brand new gameplay video for the endearing simulation game The Sims 4, showing off a new career path that players can pursue in-game.

The gameplay trailer shows how you can explore crime scenes, interrogate suspects and solve crimes with the new Detective career, featured in the Get to Work Expansion Pack.

The expansion adds several new careers for players to pursue, in the form of the Doctor, Scientist and Detective jobs.

Furthermore, the expansion will also add several new business opportunities for player characters to explore if they want to become their own boss, including art galleries, bakeries, bookstores and boutiques, with the same wide range of customization that the franchise's fans have come to expect and love.

This will be the first major content pack released for the game since its launch last year, and will carry a hefty price tag, going for 40 dollars of Euro.

The Get to Work Expansion Pack will enable players to control their Sims while they're on the job for the first time, further enhancing the simulation experience.

The expansion will become available to everyone sometime in April, on both the PC and Mac platforms.
