14 DAY TRIAL // Riot Games has just rolled out the new and improved League of Legends Refer-a-Friend system onto its massively popular online game, this time offering 1000 IP for each new player added to the title, as well as two different skins when reaching certain figures.
League of Legends is already a hugely popular online experience, with tens of millions of people engaging in the MOBA title every month. In order to further spur its growth, developer Riot Games introduced the Refer-a-Friend system that offered rewards to those who got their buddies to join the game.
Last week, it took down the whole system in order to overhaul the mechanic and introduce new rewards, while fixing exploits.
The new RAF system is now available and brings forth some key changes, according to the official website.
For each referred friend who reaches level 10, players will earn 1000 IP. At three successful friends, they'll get the Grey Warwick skin, and at five they get the Medieval Twitch one. As such, players can earn a total of 5000 IP and two free skins for their recruitment efforts.
There are no other rewards available and the limit is five friends referred, so players can no longer exploit the system.
