14 DAY TRIAL // Minecraft console developer 4J Studios confirms that it's going to debut a special free update as well as a new premium DLC for the game across PS4, PS3, and PS Vita platforms this week, bringing a new free playable protagonist, as well as The Simpsons add-on set.
Minecraft has a huge amount of fans worldwide, and on consoles it's being developed and maintained by 4J Studios, which releases constant updates and DLC packs across all platforms at different time intervals.
The studio now confirms on the PS blog that this week it's going to debut a free update for Minecraft on PS4, PS3, and PS Vita, which includes a new playable protagonist, in the form of Alex. She joins Steve, the basic character model, and comes with eight skins in total.
Those willing to pay can also enjoy this week a new DLC that brings skins modeled after The Simpsons characters. All sorts of different characters are included, so check them out in the screenshots below, alongside a few variations of Alex.
The new free update and skin pack for Minecraft are set to appear later in the week across PS4, PS3, and PS Vita. Unfortunately, no concrete release date is available.
