Disney Infinity 2.0, the popular toy-to-life video game franchise, is getting Loki and Falcon added to the already extensive roster of playable characters.

The game blends video game action with collectible miniatures that gamers can use in order to unlock characters in their adventure, and also features a pretty robust sandbox mode where players can create their own custom challenges.

The two new superheroes will arrive in Disney Infinity 2.0 alongside two new power discs, Marvel Team-Up: Captain Marvel and Ultimate Falcon.

Loki is Thor's brother, known as the antagonist of 2012's blockbuster movie The Avengers, and he comes to Disney's action adventure franchise with the power of flight, his trickster's scepter, and the ability to create decoys.

Falcon specializes in combat both in the air and on the ground, and is known for being Captain America's right hand man.

Disney Infinity: Marvel Super Heroes was released last year, expanding the adventure with a slew of superhuman characters making use of their abilities to do good and bad, and is currently available on the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, Windows PC and iOS platforms.

The game is also headed for the PlayStation Vita handheld gaming device from Sony, expected out this May.
