The indie game's PS4 version is closing completion

Thatgamecompany, the independent studio behind the hit PS3 title Journey, confirms that the long-awaited PS4 edition of the game is coming quite soon, while admitting that a PS Vita version would be awesome, although that porting decision needs to be made by Sony.

The PS3 has received quite a lot of solid exclusive indie games from Thatgamecompany over the years, starting with Flow and continuing with Flower or Journey.

After bringing both Flow and Flower to the PS4, publisher Sony is working on the new-generation version of Journey, which is handled by Tricky Pixels.

Seeing as how not much has been said about that adaptation of the game, fans have started asking Thatgamecompany about the project.

The studio has answered on Twitter, via DualShockers, saying that more info will be coming once it nears completion. That moment isn't too far off right now, so you can expect something in the following weeks or months.

What's more, the team admits that a Journey adaptation for the PS Vita would be awesome but emphasizes that the decision is squarely up to Sony. As such, PS Vita owners who want to play Journey on their platform should certainly submit their feedback to Sony.

Until then, once the PS4 version appears, they can experience it through the Remote Play function.
