The Japanese video game hardware chart for the week that ended on May 10 is dominated by the 3DS handheld, which has taken the top spot when it comes to sales once again, showing that mobile gaming is still a solid bet for Nintendo.

The device has managed to sell 26,092 units in seven days, according to data from Media Create quoted by NeoGAF, which puts it well ahead of the Vita from Sony, which takes over second place with 17,938 units sold, continuing its long-term decline.

The PlayStation 4 is the dominating home console, but it has seen its own numbers drop from 19,782 to 15,992.

The Wii U from Nintendo has also had a bad week and has reached just 11,137, coming from 22,898.

When it comes to video games, the big winner of the week is Puzzle & Dragons: Super Mario Bros. Edition from GungHo Online Entertainment, which has moved 38,914 copies to its fans.

Second place was occupied by Style Savvy 3: Kira Kira Code with 21,764.

The rest of the top ten includes Minecraft: PlayStation Vita Edition, Xenoblade Chronicles X, Mario Kart 8, Bravely Second: End Layer, Pokemon Omega Ruby / Alpha Sapphire, Mario Party 10, Super Smash Bros. for Nintendo 3DS, and Yo-kai Watch 2: Shin Uchi.
