Blizzard has already identified the cause and a solution

Blizzard confirms that it's investigating the recent lag spikes and stalls reported by Heroes of the Storm players ever since the latest update when live, and that a solution should appear in the next scheduled patch.

Heroes of the Storm, Blizzard's answer to the Multiplayer Online Battle Arena market, got a major update earlier this week that brought new features, a new hero, in the form of Sylvanas, a new battleground, in the form of Tomb of the Spider Queen, and other such major enhancements to the game, such as a revamped interface.

Unfortunately, for some players, it also brought brief lag spikes or even full on stalls of the game that happen towards the beginning of a match.

According to a post on the official forums, Blizzard is investigating the problem and has even found the underlying root cause of the lag and the stalls.

Unfortunately, it's unclear just exactly when the fix will appear, as Blizzard is still putting the finishing touches on the next update for Heroes of the Storm.

Until then, those who are affected by the problems should stick through them and at least enjoy the Heroes of the Storm experience until it gets back to normal. Judging by past situations, the next patch for the game might debut next week, probably on Tuesday, March 31.
