With the update for Halo: The Master Chief Collection still in the development stage, the developers at 343 Industries are focusing on the Championship series for the game in the most recent Bulletin video, explaining the stakes of the competition and the schedule going forward.

Matches have taken place all through the weekend and fans of the universe were able to see some high-level battles between some of the best eSports professionals associated with it.

The footage also features a ride in the Warthog, one of the iconic vehicles of the Halo universe, and a rather animated discussion about the characters of the universe.

343 Industries has said that the next Halo: The Master Chief Collection update is designed to once again improve the matchmaking process and the overall game experience, but no launch date has been offered so far.

The bulk of the studio is at the moment working on Halo 5: Guardians, using the data from the beta to deliver an improved product at some point in the fall of this year.

The team has said that it will allow players to take out all Spartan abilities in all custom games and that they are also tweaking other elements including weapon balance, matchmaking, and the way characters move and accelerate.
