Time travel might also be part of the game

After announcing the launch date of Halo 5: Guardians with a first live-action trailer, video game developer 343 Industries and publisher Microsoft are delivering another one which tells approximately the same story from the perspective of Master Chief and suggests that the title might be somehow focused on parallel realities.

The setting is the same as in the first video, but this time the hero of the franchise is the one who discovers Agent Locke and confronts him, apparently ready to take him out as a form of revenge for actions that have led to the destruction.

Parallel realities might be a feature in Halo 5: Guardians, or the game might use time travel to allow gamers to explore different possibilities while playing as both characters, presumably facing a new enemy that has the power to take out entire worlds.

The two trailers have probably piqued the interest of all fans of the franchise, but the development team will need to deliver more details about the story in the coming weeks to keep them interested.

Halo 5: Guardians is the first title in the series which is offered on the Xbox One and will be delivered to gamers on October 27 of this year.
