Video game developer Polyphony Digital and publisher Sony are announcing that they are launching a new update for Gran Turismo 6, which is designed to introduce new vehicles for gamers to play with, while also solving a small problem with update 1.16.

The two companies are stating on the official PS Blog that the Lexus LF-LC GT is added to the Vision garage of the title and gamers will have to buy it or get it as a reward if they complete a lap in the new Seasonal Event that's only live for a short time.

Fans of Gran Turismo 6 are also getting access to the Alpine Vision cars, each with an unique personality, and to racing suits and helmets based around the same concept.

Polyphony Digital adds, "The issue regarding the Championship race found after installing Update 1.16, where it was not possible to resume a Championship race that was previously suspended while playing in B-Spec mode, has been fixed."

The development team has already said that it is working on a new installment in the racing game series, which will be delivered on the PlayStation 4, but no details about its core mechanics or about the launch window have been offered so far.
