A brand new and quite big report has appeared online, claiming that Sony is soon going to launch a God of War 3 Remastered for the PS4 platform, boasting a native resolution of 1080p and a variety of new visual effects.

The God of War series saw some stellar titles appear on the PS2, PS3, or even the PSP platforms, as millions of fans fell in love with the adventures of Kratos and the myriad of responsive hack-and-slash mechanics.

In recent years, however, things haven't been going so well for developer Sony Santa Monica, as one of its major projects got canceled.

Now, it seems that the team is going to roll out a God of War 3 Remastered for the PS4 in the near future, at least according to a new report coming from VGN, as well as from various Twitter accounts, complete with an actual logo that you can see above.

No other details are known, besides a native resolution of 1080p on the PS4, but you can expect an official confirmation in the very near future from Sony and its Santa Monica team.

Until then, take this report with a grain of salt and don't expect a revamped Kratos to launch on the PS4 anytime soon.

Update: It's official - God of War 3 Remastered for PS4 coming on July 14. Check out trailer and screenshots
