The team at Sony announces that all those who are aiming to get any content for their PlayStation home console during the coming weekend will be able to enjoy a ten percent price cut if they are from the United States, Canada or Latin America, in order to celebrate tax refund season.

The official announcement shows off the code that needs to be used to enjoy the lower price and the promotion is live at the moment and will last until Monday, March 30, at noon Pacific Daylight Time.

Sony says that gamers cannot enjoy the 10 percent off on the PlayStation Vita, the PS TV or the PSP, but even weirder is that gamers will need to actually access the PS Store and cannot simply buy content from their games.

The company adds, "Some exclusions apply, including PS Plus memberships, subscriptions, game pre-orders, PS Now content and rental video content. Code must be redeemed at checkout and discounted transaction completed before 3/30/2015 at 12:00 noon PDT."

At the moment, the PlayStation 4 is more popular than the Xbox One from Microsoft and such promotions are a good way of making sure that the console remains in the lead in terms of sales.
