Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XV: Episode Duscae, the upcoming new-gen role-playing game's demo edition, will be released on March 17.

The information comes from the latest Active Time Report livestream, featuring Game Director Hajime Tabata, who reveals that the demo will be launched alongside Final Fantasy Type-0 HD, the remastered version of the popular PlayStation Portable role-playing game.

Tabata previously stated that the development team was doing its best to ensure that the demo would be playable when Type-0 HD launches, but now we have the official confirmation.

Coincidentally, pre-ordering Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is the only way to gain access to the upcoming demo, as Square Enix was pretty adamant that it intended to reward its fans' loyalty and did not want to betray their trust.

Final Fantasy Type-0 HD is scheduled to come out on March 18 in North America, March 19 in Japan, and March 20 in Europe, headed to the Xbox One home console from Microsoft and the PlayStation 4 home entertainment system from Sony.

Final Fantasy XV is due out later this year, also headed to the PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Square Enix has also unveiled a trailer for the Episode Duscae demo, which you can watch below.
