The team in charge of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn at Square Enix is announcing that it is delivering patch 2.55 for the MMO, which is called Before the Fall Part Two and will deliver the final chapter in the story side of the title.

The new content is designed to show gamers how the world looks just ahead of the launch of the Heavensward expansion, which is set to be deployed on June 23 of this year.

Gamers who are engaged with the MMO need to complete the main scenario quest Before the Dawn, which is part of patch 2.55, in order to get access to any content that is part of the coming expansion.

Heavensward is designed to tell the story of the battle between the knights of Ishgard and the dragons of Dravania and will introduce 50 to 60 new disciplines for gamers, a unique playable race, more dungeons and raids, as well as more mounts that will allow gamers to explore the sky, including a black chocobo.

A full list of all the tweaks that are made to Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn in patch 2.55 can be consulted on the official site.

The MMO is one of the few modern ones that can ask gamers to pay a monthly subscription.
