Gamers can still perform them on PC and consoles

The development team at EA Sports is announcing that the transfer market for the Ultimate Team mode of FIFA 15 is now down on both the web app and the mobile application at the moment, and that there are no plans to reactivate it until the company performs unspecified but important maintenance.

The official support page announces that, "During this time we will continue to assess the state of the Transfer Market. The Transfer Market will still be accessible via console – Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox 360, PlayStation 3."

It's unclear whether the company is trying to deal with a security problem linked to transfers on the two apps, which have been vulnerable in the past to attacks, or if it is simply aiming to improve functionality for users.

When FIFA 15 has first launched, the developers at EA Sports took a number of steps to make sure that it was harder for gamers to cheat in the transfer market in order to get access to better players for their teams.

Regular Team of the Week packages for the Ultimate Team mode are being delivered every Wednesday and the studio is also introducing in-form players after big games and tournaments to give players options for their rosters.
