Playing Rome II and Game of Thrones Ascent

I sometimes believe that video games, especially those I play when I am not working, have managed to play a role somehow similar to what comfort food is for others in my life, and that as soon as I move out of my routine, I tend to return to the titles that have a way of calming me.

This week I have been dealing with some medical issues, worrying but not critical, and my mind worked overtime to make me more terrified than it should be.

So I plan to reboot my thinking patterns by immersing myself fully in the world of Total War: Rome II, which is the video game that Steam says I played the most during 2014.

I will not play the new Wrath of Sparta campaign, although it seems interesting, because I want to once again try to conquer as much as possible using the Getae, one of the factions that have been relatively neglected by the development team at The Creative Assembly.

Rome II has become a solid game after an extensive patching process, but it will take a lot to play, which means that I will not have the time to try out anything else apart from popping in from time to time to help my faction in Game of Thrones Ascent.
