14 DAY TRIAL // The team at Bethesda announces that the very popular Doom series is one of the video games that will be featured in the next episode of Mythbusters, which is set to take a look at the first-person shooter genre and its many tropes.
The short teaser is interesting and shows how the team of the Discovery Channel show aims to recreate some of the most iconic elements of the series.
Using the DOOM universe and DOOM 3 BFG Edition for reference, Tim helps the team recreate a DOOM level in real life.
Bethesda adds, “In this special episode dedicated to the hobby near and dear to our hearts, we're excited that id Software's own Tim Willits will be helping Adam and Jamie dig into an often-discussed topic of FPS games: Is it really possible for someone to carry all those health packs, guns, and even a chainsaw?”
The new Mythbusters show that involves Doom will be broadcast on Discovery on January 31.
At the moment, a new game in the franchise is in development at Bethesda, but no clear info about it has been offered, although from time to time rumors about it appear, which means that there’s still a community of players who loves the universe and would love to see it re-created on the Xbox One and the PlayStation 4.
