14 DAY TRIAL // Nippon Ichi Software has finally released the first ever English trailer for the upcoming Japanese role-playing game Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance.
Western fans of the popular series can now finally make sense of what’s going on in the game, meet some of the cast, and watch some sweet gameplay footage.
Unfortunately, the footage comes from the Japanese version of the upcoming video game, so we don’t yet know what the English voiceover sounds like.
Still, it’s better than nothing, and it’s also somewhat understandable, since Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance will include around 40 different races and jobs, and a ton of characters, so translating everything is bound to take NIS a while.
The game will also introduce a brand new battle mechanic, the Alliance Attacks, and long-time fans of the series will get to use five new classes.
The plot focuses on the idea of vengeance, with players having to persuade the overlords of the underworld to rally under the same banner and fight against an evil force, the demon emperor Void Dark.
Disgaea 5: Alliance of Vengeance is coming exclusively to the PlayStation 4 computer entertainment system, expected in March in Japan, and later on, around fall 2015, in Europe and North America.
