Demons with Shotguns is a competitive local multiplayer arena platformer, featuring old-school visuals and a lovable theme.

The arena shooter features fast-paced, twitch-style gameplay and challenges gamers to shoot their friends and steal their souls.

Armed with a powerful shotgun, a holy water grenade and a shield, two to four players will step into the arena and attempt to shoot their friends and tip the scales of war in their favor.

The game is currently undergoing an approval campaign on Steam Greenlight, and if you like what you see in the video below, you could help it land on Steam, Valve's worldwide digital distribution platform.

In addition to the excessively violent video below, you can also get some first-hand experience with the game, as a demo version is available on developer MindShaft Games' website. Be warned that the game currently only supports local multiplayer.

There are multiple game modes to choose from, including team-based ones and free for all, as well as some interesting ones that tie in with the game's demonic theme.

The developers have mentioned that some single-player content is currently being considered, either computer-controlled bots or some sort of endless horde mode, but for the time being the focus is on getting the multiplayer up and running, in time for the scheduled October release for PC.
