Video game developer From Software is announcing that it will implement a server maintenance period for Dark Souls 2 on Monday, March 30, starting at 4 AM Central European Time and until 10 AM CET.

The times for Japan and North America are also listed in the official announcement, but the company is not offering any information on the reasons for the downtime or whether it plans to introduce any sort of new features to the infrastructure supporting the title.

Dark Souls 2 has recently received a new piece of downloadable content called The Scholar of the Sin, which introduces a new alternate ending for the experience and a new boss fight.

The story told suggests that no more DLC is planned for the title although a Dark Souls 3 might be created by the developers at From Software.

At the moment, most of the company’ resources are focused on the newly launched Bloodborne, which is set to get a new hotfix as soon as possible to deal with the progression bug that happens when multiplayer is activated in the Forbidden Woods.

A bigger update for the game will also deal with performance issues that some gamers have experienced.
